Hello all, I don't know if you all are aware of the transit strike Im pretty sure you are. Well I am effected by it along with the millions of other New Yorkers. I take a city bus to work everyday. Due to the strike I had to miss work the first day of the strike and all have been scrambling to find alternate ways to get to work, school, doctor appointments etc. It is just pure chaos. Luckily I work with some fantastic people and they have gone out of their way to pick up co-workers and drop em off. We as New Yorkers can handle anything that comes our way. We unite and do for each other what we have to do to get by. I thank the lord everyday for making us the strong individuals we are.
There are people walking over the Brooklyn bridge to get into Manhattan, now is that dedication or what??? Strangers stopping to let other strangers in their vehicles so they don't have to hike the long miles. Strangers sharing the horrendous cab fares with one another. Employers with excellent contingency plans to accomodate their employees needs. I will tell you this even though it has put a great strain on all that live in the big apple I wouldnt want to live anywhere else!!!! Enjoy the pic of my fellow NY walking over the Brooklyn Bridge!!
